Did you see it? Do you watch it? For those of you who are Biggest Loser fans you already know that in the finale next week two girls and one guy are competing for the title of Biggest Loser. Last night I was able to watch and I was amazed! I have been cheering for the girls ever since Bob picked all the big boys to be on the blue team. I have loved watching them work hard and while I struggled to understand why Brittany had to go home I still would love to watch Ali or Kelly win. For those of you who haven't watched it I highly recommend it. It is SO inspirational to see all of these heavy individuals fight to lose the weight and actually accomplish it. Maybe after the show is over next week and all the before and after pictures are posted I'll give you the link. Right now the changes shown aren't nearly as amazing as the changes that truly have been made. In addition to my enjoyment and inspiration from the show I would like to share with you the inspirations I have received from the "biggest winners" who have lost weight in my life. My cousin Sandra allowed me to live with her when Kent and I were dating and engaged. She helped me to see that exercise is not a luxury that I can afford when I feel like it. It HAS to be a part of my life. She has exercised for years and years now and has even changed her diet to include more veggies and fruits and less breads and sugars. I don't know how much weight she has lost but knowing that she did it inspires me to believe that I too can do it. She is an inspiration to me in so many ways.
My other weight loss inspiration comes from my sister-in-law Holly. I never noticed that she had weight she could lose, but she started walking and making the necessary changes to be healthy and she looks fabulous. The most inspiring thing about Holly is that she has been able to keep the weight off even through pregnancy. She amazes me. She walks around her town and goes about 3 or 4 miles (if not more) a day. She makes me feel like I can get control and keep it even though I am not done having my family. I love her and I am always inspired by her in more ways than I can express. Thanks for being my inspiration! I love you!

It is nice to see we are all in the same boat. You and Carrie both have entries about this and I totally agree it is hard.
Love this show too! I am hoping one of the gals wins it for the ladies this year! I love this show ...it's right there next to "So You Think You Can Dance". I am silly but I get so giddy when that show starts! Anyway...yeah we are all struggling together as moms to lose that extra wieght...(with a few exceptions) most of us are struggling to figure it out!
So I'm a little slow at reading your blog, but I love "The Biggest Loser". I have been watching it every season since it began. I was elated when Ali won. I have been wanting a girl to win forever. It seems that guys can drop the weight so easily but we women have to work twice as hard for the same results. They sure did this season. Thanks for the kind words about me in your blog too. I still struggle every day to keep the weight off. I would like to drop about 10 or 15 more pounds and after watching Ali win, I am more motivated. The problem most of us have is that we want to see the results as quickly as the contestants do, but they are working out five hours a day and have people helping them with counting calories to keep them on track. We are on our own and let's face it, we can't work out that much. I try to get at least one hour in a day, including Sunday when I take my dog for a walk. I feel so much better when I exercise that it is hard to not do it. Keep working on it and pretty soon you'll get to that point too.
I love "The Biggest Loser". It has inspired me to continue to eat right and exercise. I was elated when Ali won. The guys always seem to lose easily and the girls have to work twice as hard. So to have a girl finally win was great. We all struggle with staying on top of the battle of the bulge. We see how fast the contestants lose weight and we want the same results, but they work out 5 hours a day and have trainers to help them with calories counting and figuring out what the right amount of food and exercise is for them. The rest of us are on our own and are lucky if we can get in and hour a day of exercise. But one hour will make a difference. That is all I do and when I keep my calories down I can lose the weight. Six years ago I was at my all time high weight wise and I decided that I need to change. I have lost 45 pounds and kept it off for 2 years now. I want to lose 10 to 15 more so that is my new goal. Being consistant is very important and giving up desserts and treats everyday. But when you do let yourself have a treat, it is so much better.
