The Sad Flower Garden

Anyone who knows me well knows my love of plants and flowers. In fact a few years ago I worked at a nursery (plants not children) and I LOVED it. I would love to do something along those lines in my next profession (you know after my professional mother days). Anyway, for mother's day Kent and I now have a tradition where I get to go to the nursery and buy flowers to pot for my porch. Well this year I found some of my favorites. I found this copper potato vine and I have LOVED it. Kent is sick of hearing how much I love it. *wiping tears from my eyes* Well last night my potato vine was attacked by a vicious storm. The winds whirrled around and knock my plant stand over. My pots were on the ground and two long potato vines were severed from the plant. *sobbing* *more sobbing* *sniffle* Ok, ok so here are the pictures of my sad flowers. *sobbing again*

This picture on the left is what the plant looked like before (sortof)

This picture on the right is the devastating after effects!
Woah is my potato vine. These poor vines lost their lives and no more can add beauty to our door. Rest well my lovely potato vines!

Luckily for me my other pot was already on the ground, and my rose bush was safe from the effects of the storm.
P.S. pay no attention to the basket falling apart. I am currently in search of another way to hide my stinky diapers and I haven't found a nice alternative yet. Meanwhile the basket keeps falling more and more apart.

It was a small and intimate gathering between the potato vine and myself. I couldn't even bring myself to invite Kent or Braxton.
