The Ironic Ice Incident
This weekend was a great weekend. First of all to start things off Kent and I went on a date Friday to see Bourne Ultimatum. I have to say that I was not as impressed as I was excited about. It was ok, but it was just a lot of hyped up chasing (like the others), but I felt like the ending was quite anti-climatic. Anyway I enjoyed going out with Kent. Then Saturday Kent and I went to Costco and that was where the ironic ice incident occurred. We had stopped to buy a chicken bake and drinks and found a table open near the soda fountains. When we went to fill our drinks we found out there was no ice in the dispenser. So we went without. The drinks are chilled anyway so it's all good. We'll as few minutes later and after many people a little ice dropped. A few people got ice and then this little nine or ten-year-old girl got a whole cup of ice. Well her sister or someone she was with came along and told her to dump it. So she did. The ironic part is that right after she dumped it the dispenser was out of ice again. Here's funny part. Right after she left this crazy looking old guy tried EVERYTHING he could to get the dispenser to give him ice. Finally he took his cup and scooped up the ice in the drain at the bottom. Then he tried to get more ice by hitting the dispenser harder which awarded him some sticky soda on his arm. Well apparently he didn't have enough ice so he dipped his cup again in the drain and scooped ice into his cup with his hand. At that point Kent was telling me what was going on with the ice behind me and we had a great laugh. It was a really fun activity. After that we went to our friend's Carrie and Taylor's for dinner and games. We had a good time. It's so nice to spend time with friends who are laid back and enjoyable. Sunday we had friends from the ward over and played games again. It was fun. We really enjoyed Disney scene it. I didn't realize how funny all the Disney movies are, but there were a lot of clips that made us all laugh. Finally the weekend ended with dinner at golden corral with Erik and Cheryl and the kids. It was kind of unplanned, but it was fun. I got some great pictures of Braxton wearing his pudding at the restaurant well. Unfortunately they are on my cell phone...sorry. It was a really great weekend. I'm really glad to have my husband back!
