October of Leaves, Concerts, an Annular Eclipse, Music and the Spoken Word and Halloween in 2023

Fall Leaves Drive
One of my favorite parts of fall is taking a drive
and photographing the fall leaves and my boys!

They are good-looking young men!

I love the colors, the Aspen Trees, and the beautiful mountains!

Love my family!

The kids even took videos for me!

Fall Concerts
Cort's First Band Concert

Our favorite trombone player!

Time for focus!

West Jordan Take Ten Choir - Runaround Sue by Dion

West Jordan Concert Choir - He'll Make a Way by Bryon J Smith

West Jordan Concert Choir - I lived by One Republic

Singing Time!

West Jordan Concert Choir - No Time by Susan Brumfield

Whenever I see this "prop" from so many years ago (when they did Shrek) I smile!

Annular Eclipse
We had an annular eclipse. This is when the moon appears smaller than the sun and leaves a "ring of fire". It's amazing how different it is when the sun starts to move behind the moon! I'm always grateful for these experiences!

Crazy what it does to the shadows!

We saw Jace at one of Brayden's soccer games and he shared these great photos he took of the eclipse in the path of totality which happened to be through Richfield!

Tabernacle Choir Concert
at Temple Square
The youth went to listen to Music and the Spoken Word. They needed rides so Marshal and I came along! It was fun to see it in person! On the way, we saw the Wienermobile!

Halloween
I loved our fun Halloween decor this year. We also found
a cool house in Orem that was all decked out!

My kids loved the large scarecrow the White's bought!

Going to the Pumpkin Patch, carving pumpkins, and
laughing at Kylie's BeReal with a great pumpkin display!

Marshal was a Jet Fighter, Cort was a wolf, and Braxton was a Midnight Gent. I'm mostly just dressed up. lol I also took a picture of the great pirate ship made by the Assistant Principal at Marshal's school.

Life in October
Top Left: Fun pumpkin display! Top Middle: Cort with all his zest for life! Top Right: I found this mug and told my boys they might have to get me one someday! lol Bottom Middle Right: Sometimes working on social media at work gives me a good laugh! Bottom Left: Marshal is such a goofy kid! Bottom Middle Left: Taking my boys to Kaylee Marcus' wedding was fun. She loved seeing the boys and talking about how much they had grown up! Middle Right Side: I had this big sliver in my finger. Bottom Right: This is how I wake up sometimes when I wear eye makeup, especially mascara. It can be very frustrating!

My baby has grown up too fast!
Here are some snapshots of all those years while Braxton grew up!

Top Left & Left Middle & Bottom Left & Bottom Right: We love Marshal's soccer team and are grateful for his wonderful coach and players! Top Center: Some days at work are stressful! Like when you are supposed to answer emails and get thousands of email errors that flood the inbox. Grateful for answered prayers and help from co-workers who know more than me! Top Right: There's nothing like being asked to help with the Zoom meeting for sacrament meeting and not knowing why the sound isn't working. I was grateful for answers to my prayer and Sister Tree's prayer so that I could get the sound to work! Middle Right Side: This praying mantis blended into the dog house well. Bottom Middle Left: Kent never asks for recognition for the service he gives others. In fact, he'd prefer to do it in secret. But since I was given this photo I wanted to document that he is always one of the first to show up when someone needs assistance! I love that about him! Bottom Middle Right: Just a reminder of the crazy times we live in these days!

Beautiful October
"There is literally nothing in nature that blooms all year long, so do not expect yourself to do so."
-Liryae

"The universe doesn't understand bad or good, it understands frequency so if we are vibrating in this frequency of love, of gratitude, of connection, we attract more of that in our life."
Gisele BrΓΌndchen

"Being a Christian isn't for sissies. It takes a real man to live for God - a lot more man than to live for the devil."
-Johnny Cash

"Misery might love company, but so does joy.
And joy throws much better parties!"
-Bill Ivey

"The surrender of our will to God's will is, in fact, not surrender at all but the beginning of a glorious victory."
