Bear Lake, BYU Soccer, Treasures and Life in September 2023

Bear Lake Trip 2023
We took a much-needed trip to Bear Lake!
Every time we come here it is always needed!

Kent had to run to the store and saw a moose! We were so excited to drive down and check it out.
It was just down the street from our condo! We also enjoyed a squirrel, fawns, turkeys, and a caterpillar. It was so fun to enjoy wildlife this trip!

We took the Limber Pine Nature Trail to see the tree "once believed to be the oldest and largest living limber pine tree. Scientists have since discovered that this giant is actually five separate trees that have grown together for a relatively young 560 years." We really enjoyed the tree. It was really cool!

We had fun exploring this large tree!

The trees on the hike were super fun as well!

We loved mushrooms, crooked trees, moss, and beautiful scenery!

In addition to our hike, we visited the Paris Tabernacle (unfortunately it was closed so we couldn't see inside) and then checked out the Paris Ice Cave that was close by. It was very cool...Literally! lol

Before heading to the ice cave we stopped at a local park and found this old merry-go-round...

...the kids loved it! We had fun watching them!

It was so fun to see all the snow and ice so late in the year!

We spent the next day at the beach with Cheryl, Erik, and their family. We enjoyed dropping sand particles on this castle to build it taller!

We always enjoy our time at Bear Lake's North Beach.

While we were here they had the 1st Annual Bear Lake Paramotor Fly-In. I discovered it was the first as I found it on YouTube later. It was very cool!

Of course, you can't go to Bear Lake without getting a Raspberry Shake!

BYU Fans???
Brayden was able to get on the BYU Soccer team so we had to put some BYU blue on. Kent's family thought it was hilarious! Cort and I felt much better in our red Utah apparel! Go Utes...and Cougars!

Grandma Holdaway
Treasure Box
At the Holdaway reunion, I was given a box of stuff from Grandma Holdaway. Uncle Dave had kept it for years without doing anything with it. I was thrilled to have it and find treasures!

Life in September
Top Left: I loved seeing this truck asking if you prayed today. What a great ad to have driving down the road! Top Middle: I loved the message on this Reel! Top Right: A good reminder of the importance of being sincere in your worship of God! Bottom Left: My boys make me laugh! They've got a great sense of humor! Bottom Middle Left: Kent needed peace and quiet in my hiding spot! Maybe one day we should make an actual porch! Bottom Middle & Bottom Middle Right & Bottom Right: Going to Bear Lake meant we missed the youth fundraiser so our boys donated cookies and jams to auction off. I thought they were pretty cute!

Top Left & Bottom Middle: At the temple this month I took an interesting name to the temple. It came from Kent's family. When I came home and did a little research I found it interesting that a woman with a middle name of Erna had a flower girl named Yvonne. Both are uncommon names! Top Middle & Top Right: Cucumbers from Syrina's garden! Bottom Left: We made lots of apricot jam this year! Right Middle: Jason and Callie's dog Bella had puppies and we had fun playing with them at work! Bottom Right: Can't have this living in my garden!

Top Left: I love how the Book of Mormon clarifies the Bible and testifies of Christ! Top Middle: I love that I can overcome ALL THINGS! Top Right: Just me! Right Middle: I love learning in the scriptures. Judgment will come and we need to be prepared! Bottom Left: Marshal showing off the katydid he found! Bottom Middle: Getting our snacks ready for LDS General Conference! Best use of a  "Veggie" tray ever. lol Bottom Right: We are starting to get college mail for Braxton. Graduation and his moving on are becoming very real!
