Sweethearts, Birthday's and Losses in February 2023

Sweetheart's Dance

We sadly forgot photos, but thankfully Braxton and Brinley took some at the dance.
We were glad that they were able to attend Sweethearts together!
We are grateful for their friendship!

Happy Valentine's Day
We love Valentine's Day! I had fun making these cute Valentine's Day cards for our young women. And of course, as usual, we had our traditional seafood meal and hearts with some of the things we love about each other! I also practiced the 5 love languages with them and they seemed to enjoy that also!

Celebrating My Birthday!!!
Top Left & Bottom Right Middle: We enjoyed a new, fun place for dinner out for my birthday. We really liked going to Puerto Vallarta for what seemed to be authentic Mexican. Top Middle & Center: WiO gave me a birthday card signed by everyone at WiO! Top Right: This year I treated myself to Nothing Bundt Cakes. So yummy! Bottom Left: My new Ministering Sister, Kyanne (Hawkins) Haws, gave me a gift including this mask. Bottom Left Middle: My delightful friends, Kristen, Syrina, and Rebekah brought me flowers, balloons, gifts and gave my some of their time. I loved every minute! Right & Bottom Right: Marshal and Cort left me these sweet notes! Such cute boys who are good at celebrating their mom!

Top Left & Bottom Left Middle & Bottom Right: Between Valentine's Day and my birthday and flowers from Kent, Co-Workers, and my friends I had a beautiful bouquet and these lovely tulips for my birthday. Top Left Middle & Top Right Middle: I received these lovely thoughts and original writing from my friend Becca. So very kind and thoughful! Top Right & Bottom Left & Center: My lovely co-workers made me feel extra special by decorating my office! It was great! Bottom Right Middle & Center Right: It was so fun to learn that I am 5th cousins once removed with Syrina and 10th cousins once removed with Kristen!

February Snow Storm
It's always fun to have a good snow storm and then a snow drift on top of that.
There were some fairly tall areas of snow!

Happy Birthday to Marshal
We had a fun birthday party for Marshal! We decorated the house, made a soccer and
football cake (I didn't think it was too bad), and played pin the soccer ball in the goal!

Top Left: Ryker gave Marshal Mega Construx Pokémon toys. Top Middle: Drew gave him a nerf gun that looked like a dinosaur. Top Right: Jared gave him a gift card to Nickle Mania. Center Left: Greyson's gift was some Nerf Guns as well! Center: Logan D. gave Marshal a Darth Vader Bop It! Center Right: Blaze gave him some fun pop it toys. Bottom Left: Paxton and Kyron gave Marshal Pokémon Legos. Bottom Middle & Bottom Right: Nolan was sick and so he was unable to come, but his MeeMaw (Ann Olson) was so kind to bring by the gift from him! It was a Goo Jit Zu goo shifter and a bag of ring pops.

It was fun, and pretty crazy to have this many boys in our house. We had hoped for good weather for some outside fun, but due to snow it was an indoor party instead.

Life in February
Top Left: My boys and I looking so fancy after church! Top Middle & Bottom RightMy boys discovered Braxton's 80's jacket and the aviator sunglasses so we had to do a Great Balls of Fire photo. lol Top Right: Marshal and I looking good on a Sunday! Bottom Left & Bottom Right Middle: Braxton trying on different glasses. He makes a cute nerd. lol Bottom Left Middle: I focused in on this cute photo of Marshal from Tanner's wedding.

BeReal
Top Left: Watching the Superbowl at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Top Left Middle: Enjoying  Aaron's Basketball game! Top Right Middle: Kent and I bought Marshal new scriptures along with a soccer scripture case. Top Right & Center Right & Bottom RightHanging out with my boys at home! Bottom Left & Bottom Left Middle: It's always fun hanging out with the young women! Bottom Right Middle: You never know what kind of shenanigans Marshal will be up to with a playhouse and a jump rope!

Top Left: Braxton and I having fun together dropping off the Young Men hidden in the back! Top  Middle: Kent and I hanging out in the front room. Top Right: Oops! The same photo from above. lol Bottom Left & Bottom Left Middle: The older boys and Kent and I enjoying some yummy food from Salsa Leedos! Bottom Right Middle: Tyson and Ryan visiting while Braxton is working hard on his homework! Bottom Right: Me not feeling well at work!

Top Left: The end of February brought a lot of sadness to us. Dusty was not doing well and we had to make the decision to put her down. She was a good dog and we love her. The boys struggled with that loss, but it was worth a decade of wonderful memories with her! 💔Top Middle: Cort fell asleep with the light on. Top Right: Kent took a Skid steer over to WiO and cleared the parking lot of snow. He ended up letting Jason know how he was the reason the snow was gone. A little while later I got this text from Derek saying that my husband was the bomb! Bottom Left: Marshal's stuffed animals are great readers. lol Bottom Middle: Apparently Kent was earning brownie points by picking up the boys from school. Bottom Right: I saw this sign at the store At Home and had to send it to Braxton. I almost bought it...maybe I should have!
