The Valentine's Day WiO Better Health Challenge in February 2022

Girl's Trip to Flagstaff, Arizona
Becca came to Flagstaff to be with Jocelyn after she had tonsil surgery. She arranged a girl's weekend for me, Tami and herself. Tami and I enjoyed a fun trip down to Flagstaff. Along the way we passed Lake Powell which was very low. It was sad.

One morning I woke up early and was treated to this interesting brawl!

I truly enjoyed the wildlife!

More wildlife...I promise we did other things too. lol

You know, like took selfies in between the photos of the wildlife. Ha ha

Lots of deer hanging out around the condo.

More beautiful photos on the way home!

Beautiful photos and someone along the highway with a sense of humor! Ha!

We had to keep track of the cars for Tami's son Max.
He's such a hoot!

Kent's Shoulder Surgery

Kent had a Shoulder Compression Surgery. We thought it might be a rotator cuff surgery which would take longer to heal, but thanks to answered prayers this surgery was fast and he's done a great job healing up quickly already! He became really good at folding laundry one handed and we decided that the sling is a terrible thing for playing cards with him. lol

A Visit from Our Cousin Kyli!
We LOVE visits from family!
Kyli came to visit and we took her to Oquirrh Lake and enjoyed the beauty of the area!

There were a lot of birds handing out at the lake.

Marshal's 7th Birthday!
Marshal had a blast turning 7! I can't believe my "baby" is 7!

We first had some quick cake and ice cream and then opened presents.

After that we took off to Classic Fun Center and tried not to lose and children. Thankfully we were successful in returning them all. Horray!

University of Utah Gymnastics
Date Nights
I really do love our Red Rocks Gymnastics nights. Kent thought Oregon brought Speedy Gonzales to the meet. We have been wowed by all our Olympians and one of the Oregon coaches went all out for his Beavs! One of our cheerleaders was REALLY enthusiastic to be cheering with the ladies instead of hanging with the yell leaders in the back. I mean it is 2022 I suppose anyone can be anything they want...right?

Life in February
Top Left & Bottom Left: Braxton finally got his learners permit. Agh! Here we go starting this teaching driving thing. He's done pretty well so far. Top Middle & Bottom Left Middle: I'm liking having my hair a little longer. It seems to work well when it's straight and when it's curly. Top Right: Tami dropped me off these tulips for my birthday and I loved them! I planted them in the garden so we'll see if they come up next spring. Bottom Right Corner: I just loved this photo Liesel sent of Rachel and we decided to try to duplicate the look in some selfies.

After the girl's weekend in Flagstaff I restarted my diet with the office staff and discovered some things I needed to work on so I could get back to losing weight.

Back to Phase One Week One I go!

I also got a scale and discovered that 5 ounces of meat is a lot more meat than I thought. That was good to learn.

Top Left & Top Left Middle: Becca shared the meme on the left and when I saw these words in the Hymn is hit me that when I say "I am" I am literally the daughter of the great I am! It's a mind boggling thought. Top Right Middle: I loved getting this note from Kyli. I feel so blessed when I get to spend time with Gordon's girls! They are truly gems! Top Right: I am loving the results I am getting from the scouring stick and I slowly clean the bathroom tub walls. Bottom Middle, Center & Bottom Right: Kent and I have struggled for years with his mom. For so many years we have tried to please her only to feel we do the opposite at almost every turn. Kent and I are working on doing some healing and understanding how to love ourselves and set important boundaries because of the years of painful expereinces. I'm hesitant to post this not knowing who will read it, but I want to remember that we did the hard work of learning to love ourselves and that is important to us so that we pass on more loving and accepting traits to our children. These memes spoke to me in regard to what is going on in our lives right now. I hope anyone who does read this will understand it is not our intent to hurt anyone, only heal and better ourselves.

Beautiful February
