YW Pool Party at Broschinsky's
We decided to have a pool party at Broschinsky's house and although I'm not a huge fan of swimming I did enjoy taking a plunge with the girls. It was a lot of fun to be together!
End of Summer Lagoon Fun
Marshal enjoyed chasing the peacock at Lagoon. I got a good laugh at the peacock avoiding him...also see the phone behind Marshal in the bottom middle photo?
Marshal was amazed when someone picked it up and spoke into it and he realized that is what phones looked like "in the old days." 😆
We had some fun riding the Sky Ride while the big kids went with dad on Cannibal again.
In 2019 I convinced Dennis and Rebekah and Peter and Adrianne that we needed to get 2020 season tickets to Tuachan. Well the shows were pretty good but not as amazing as I had expected them to be unfortunately. What I did love was getting to spend time with the Jones family in Enterprise. Who knew they would be living here when we got those tickets. Oh! That's right, God knew. We enjoyed going out shooting with them, seeing tiny cars on the way to their house and Braxton sticking his head out the truck window like a dog. lol
I was amazed by the set for Beauty and the Beast. The first night we enjoyed seeing The Count of Monte Cristo. I also saw a tarantula hiding in the dirt after I saw a dad point it out to his daughter.
On the way home we stopped and learned about Cove Fort. It was fun to find family names on the plaque outside of the fort. We also had fun seeing some of the property around Cove Fort.
Each kid picked a favorite room to show. I loved seeing all the antiques in the kitchen. It always fascinates me when I see these braided hair works of art on the walls. The basin and pitcher reminded me of the one Grandma Holdaway had at the end of her upstairs hallway. It was very cool. Finally, one of the missionaries at Cove Fort and I got talking. When she mentioned that she was from Snowflake, Arizona I had to find out if we were cousins. Turns out we are 3rd cousins once removed. Pretty cool! Seems like her husband and I were even closer cousins, but I can't recall for sure now.
Back to school
Right after our trip to Southern Utah the kids were back to school. I wasn't quite ready for the fun to be over with, but ready or not it was time for them to go back. Braxton started at the high school this year (9th grade was at the middle school). Cort is in 5th grade and Marshal is starting 1st grade. My family is growing up.
YW and YM Learn To Cha Cha
A new school year and new soccer seasons. Marshal's team with a new coach was named Blue Lightening and Cort's team was the Artic Wolves (I'm sure he had some influence on that name).
Left: Tyson and Ali W. learning the Cha Cha. Top Middle: Reed teaching Katherine while Brandon tries to dance with Bella. Top Right: Braxton and Alli F. Bottom Middle: Rebe and Truman dancing. Bottom Right: Brigham and Maddie L. getting into it.
Lagoon Date Night
We had fun with our friends the Benedicts, Starrs, and Hickmans at Lagoon. We decided to get ice cream and Kent talked the girl into scooping our ice cream very high. Laura's foot placement was great. It took away the "not" so she could stand there. The sun setting and the moon rising at the park that night were both pretty amazing to witness. In only the photos did justice.
Fall Soccer Starting Again
A new school year and new soccer seasons. Marshal's team with a new coach was named Blue Lightening and Cort's team was the Artic Wolves (I'm sure he had some influence on that name).
Top Left & Top Right Middle: I was having some good hair day. Bottom Left Middle & Center Right:: My good hair day got even better when I flipped it to the other side. Top Left Middle & Top Right: It took some coaxing, but I was finally able to convince Braxton to try on some shirt colors besides black and gray. I really liked the green on him. Bottom Left: Marshal stole my phone and took an angry selfie. Bottom Right Middle: Our cute activities days youth at the Stradley's house. Bottom Right: Kent showing off his hurt finger. He decided to squish it good at work. Too bad he didn't have a helper to keep him from squishing it. Good thing fingers heal.
Great thought from Brian!
