Being "A Little Bit Naughty" in April 2021

Sand Art
Anniversary Gift
This popped up in my Facebook feed and I remembered something like this from when I was a little girl so I decided that I needed one. It took a slow boat from China (maybe quite literally) but it finally arrived. My family had enjoyed making different designs!

Matilda
Braxton did the Elk Ridge play again this year and this year they did Matilda. This play was a welcomed distraction from Covid. The kids did an phenomenal job! I was so glad to go back multiple nights to watch the play. I'm so proud of the great job these kids did. Braxton was in the "Big Kid" cast and also played a judge for the dancing competition.

These kids really did a great job!
It was fun to see their personalities come out on stage.

Life in April
Top Left: Unfortunately, the play also brought Covid to our home. Not my favorite gift from the play, but it was here none-the-less. Thankfully, Sister Schow (RS President) brought us a box of Covid relief items that she said Laura Benedict donated and we were lucky enough to get some wonderful meals from neighbors! Top Right: In the middle of all this Covid craziness we bought a new car. It is a Chevy Sonic Turbo. It's proving to be a good choice with gas prices going up. Bottom Left: I was overjoyed when I saw that the county health department had lifted the mask mandate. Hallejuah! Bottom Left Middle: With Conference sessions all being online with Covid it made me laugh to see this post by Hank Smith. Bottom Right Middle: Kent and I did a lot of sleeping while we were sick with Covid...and no, he did not fall asleep while praying. Bottom Right: I love reading about the miracles of the gospel like this about how the church is able to translate conference into so many languages.

The Young Women were able to go help pack lunches for kids who are in need. It was a very fun activity to serve with our girls! I also curled my hair and decided it needed to be documented. lol

Top Left: Cort and Marshal enjoyed some time playing soccer again. Top Middle: I loved this quote by Jeff Brown.Top Right: The new neighbors dog was outside prowling the streets. He was scaring Marshal and Ryker. The Momma Bear in my came out and I went over to knock on the door and ask them to bring their dog in. The dog was there guarding the door and growling at me. It was pretty intimidating. I stood at the door calling to them, but finally a young man came to the door and told me he'd keep the dog inside. I was glad to advocate for those boys! Bottom Left & Bottom Right: Cort did a clay formation of a scene from a book he was reading in school. Bottom Center: I love learning from Jody Moore, but this podcast that she did on mental hygiene was exactly what I needed to hear!

Beautiful Spring!
My favorite quote from Matilda
"No one but me is gonna change my story!"
