The month that became years March 2020

Young Women's Theme
I went with Adrianne and the younger girls for our activity and we had fun learning the new Young Women's Theme by drawing pictures to go along with it.

Parent Teacher Conference

I saw this sign as parent teacher conference and thought it was cool. Little did I know that life was going to change a whole lot after this week.

Thing Get Weird
We went to the doctors office (March 13th) for a check up and people were stealing medical supplies because there was a virus outbreak from China that had made it's way to the US. As the week progressed we watched as they moved schools to online and closed non-essential businesses like the county libraries and beauty salons and anything else they deemed non-essential. Stores were unable to keep things like cleaners and toilet paper and water on the shelves. I had to meet a friend in Bluffdale to trade oatmeal for dry milk and found this sign at the park funny since it said no horses allowed on the grass. Life with this pandemic got really weird really fast.

The following week on the day we were supposed to be starting our homeschooling (March 18th) we were awakened by a magnitude 5.7 earthquake. After some false rumors about another quake coming I found myself quickly putting together some new 72 hour kits. The next day we spent at Grandma and Grandpa Kunz house to get a break from the earthquake tremors.

These signs gave me hope and peace and I decided to share a little hope and peace of my own with the kids help...

These were my chalk messages.

These were done by Cort and MakayLee.

We participated in a worldwide fast for a cure for Coronavirus and found a lot of comfort in scripture study. To get out of the house after home centered church we took the kids to find the graves of our ancestors close by. I made up my own meme about how I felt about this year as well.

Kent and I talked about taking a trip to enjoy and celebrate our anniversay. With all that was going on I am so glad that we were never able to make our plans work out. Being home with our family felt like the right place to be.

Life in Quarantine
Top Left (and Middle Right): I curled my hair for home church and had to document it. Top Left Middle: Their cousin Tanner Gonder came home from his mission to Peru so we made some signs to text him since this virus kept us from being able to go see him. Top Right Middle: Marshal likes to "draw letters" in the air to try and talk to me when I am on the phone. Top Right: Marshal made a block rocket ship for his online homeschool assignment. 3 Bottom Left Photos: The Bullock family were getting rid of a Love Sac and we were looking for more seating in the TV room so we bought it. The boys really enjoy it. Bottom Middle: Marshal practiced his cutting skills for online homeschool. Bottom Right Middle: During this month was have been doing puzzles to entertain ourselves at home. Bottom Right: With the toilet paper shortage I was laughing when I saw a toilet paper gun. I guess maybe that's what everyone is going to do with all the extra toilet paper.

Top Left: Marshal taking a picture for my friend Ian to show how fast he is growing. Top Left Middle: Marshal showing off his smoothie mustashe. Top Right Middle: Braxton's picture of how much he's grown. Top Right: Cort's smoothie mustashe. Bottom Left: Cort showing how much he has gorwn. Bottom Left Middle: Braxton's milk mustache. Bottom Right Middle: Marshal lounging in the love sac. Bottom Right: Marshal showing off a painting he did.

Top Left & Top Left Middle: Braxton and I took and ADD test and turned out more mild than I thought it would be. Top Right Middle: Marshal wanted to build a fire in my front yard. Top Right: Marshal is very sweet and prays often that we will not get tricked by Satan. It is a very sweet prayer. Bottom Left: Braxton and I went to the eye doctor and had our eyes checked. We had our eyes dilated which was very weird. I had never had that done before. Bottom Right Middle: The microwave that Kent got for high school graduation broke. It sure lasted a long time! Luckily Grandma and Grandpa Kunz had one in their basement we could have. Bottom Right: The kids have enjoyed playing a guessing game with animal clues.
