Turning to Christ in December 2020

Turning to Christ
As I said last month, this pandemic has made things very difficult. In order to not fall apart I have chosen to work hard to focus on Christ. I am so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ!

Kindergarten Homeschool Week
The week before Christmas break the Kindergartners got put on lockdown due to Covid in their classroom. I was so grateful for moms to do homeschool with. We each took turns with Kindergarten online homeschool. Marshal, Amelia and Brynli were very cute together.

Christmas Activities
Christmas Eve we enjoy going for a drive to see the Christmas lights. This year we made a stop at the cemetary and the lights there were just beautiful! I loved it! We also enjoyed some very fun houses that were decorated.

On Christmas day we had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa and spent the afternoon helping them organize one half of the basement along with their food storage. It was so nice to help them get things organized!

Boxing Day took us to the Cove Fort area for some target shooting. That's quite a lot of Keslers with guns in their hands. lol

Meeting the Twins
We were SO happy to finally get to meet Liesel's twins. They are just the cutest girls ever!
We love those cute girls and their big sister!

Bandelier National Monument
We weren't sure that Liesel and her girls could handle all that testosterone for 3 days straight so we decided to go visit Bandelier National Monument. We had a lot of fun exploring!

On the way back to Liesel's house we came through the Jemez Mountains
and got to enjoy some deer on our way back as well as some beautiful scenery.

Life in December
As we went for a walk around the neighborhood to get some exercise Marshal decided we needed to sit and take in the beautiful trees that Stradley's had decorated. He asked, "Mom and Dad, can we sit and look at their Christmas tree lights?"

Top Left: Kent had to make his oreo cookies for Santa. Top Left Middle: In addition to all the other decorations we got electic candles and placed them in the boys windows. Top Right Middle: I used to be so particular about decorating the tree my way but at I look at the tree my boys decorated this year, it is so much prettier. Bottom Left: More Christmas tree delight. Bottom Left Middle: I found the Uno cards in Cort's room. Apparently he felt they needed to be sorted and organized. He might have some of his mom in him. 😆 Bottom Right Middle & Bottom Right: We had a Zoom Christmas party this year. It was a little different but despite the lack of smiles on everyone's faces I think we had a good time "together."

This year we were graced by the "Christmas Star." The best picture I took was the one on the bottom left. The rest of the photos were Marshal and my attempts to photograph the "star" which was actually a rare alignment of Saturn and Jupiter.

Top Left: I told Kent that I wanted to go to the Holy Ghost's Campground now that I know it exists. lol Top Middle & Top Right: Liesel had some interesting items left from the previous owners in her backyard. lol (#SidFromToyStoryLivesNextDoor) Bottom Left: I had to chuckle just a little at the nose in the corner elevator feet. This pandemic stuff can be quite ridiculous! Bottom three on the Right: Kent and I have done really well on the WiO diet over the last two months. We have both enjoyed better health and I have even been able to lower my thyroid medicine dosage!

Interesting thoughts and ideas from my journey this month!

Beautiful World

Preparing to make life Jolly and Bright in November 2020

Focusing on the Light of Christ

Life during a pandemic has been very difficult! We keep working on focusing on our Savior to find his peace. Finding beautiful photos of him is one of those endeavors that I worked on this month.

With the snow coming and Kent loosing weight I think he realized just how cold I have been all these years. He decided I needed a new coat and long John's to get me through the winter. We also had a huge nudge from Marshal to get more items to decorate this year and with all the sadness going on we thought that more lights and Christmas cheer was well worth our money.

Happy Birthday Cort!
Cort had his 10th birthday which lead to...

lots...

and lots...

and lots...

of photos!

It was so fun to watch the progression of Cort over the years!

What a good...

ten...

years...

it...

has...

been!
Happy Birthday Cort!
After sorting through all those photos this is the collage that made it to Facebook.

Life in November
Top Left: I found Martha behind me on my zoom call...oops! Top Left Middle & Bottom Left: Kent had a killer hand playing Qwirkle. He got four Qwirkles and he was on his 3rd set of tiles when he finished his turn with six Qwirkles! Top Right Middle: Marshal is learning to right sentences and he wanted to make sure that we knew he loved us. For a kid that keeps us on our toes he sure is sweet! Top Right: With this new diet we have been looking for more ways to cook veggies. We found this recipe for green beans that we really like. Center Left: Marshal likes to work on projects. Here he is in the middle of another project. Bottom Left Middle: Marshal wrote himself a note to remember not to sneak down and play on the WiiU in the mornings. Bottom Right Middle: After learning about Kent's Grandma George (Lula Maude Warren) I realize that's whose photo was hanging in one of the bedrroms in Pam's house. Center Right: It will be interesting to come compare where things are in 4 years after we have a Democrat run the country. Bottom Right: I have enjoyed working on these marketing campaigns with WiO foods. These chips really are #1!

Top Left: I had to chuckle a little when I saw the stash of toilet paper and paper towels at Pam and Lloyd's house. Top Left Middle: Marshal enjoyed helping Kent with the leaves service project. Top Right Middle: Our Gratitude Turkey was quite thankful this year. Top Right: The emergency alerts about Covid are becoming really annoying. If people aren't going to listen I'm not sure this alert is going to magically stop them. Plus it's Thanksgiving can we just enjoy a day of gratitude with our families? Bottom Left: Kent's elk turned out really cool. We have enjoyed it. Bottom Left Middle: Doesn't every date night end in a trip to the store for ammo? Bottom Right Middle: There's a lot of comments about voter fraud going on right now. I sure hope they get to the bottom of this. Center Right: Through Covid Rebekah (mostly) and I have given the young women "heart attacks" on their doors. It's been fun to celebrate them this way. Bottom Right: This seems to be the state of where we are today. I worry for the direction of our country but I will leave it in God's hands and pray for his help.

Beautiful November

Sometimes Life "Falling" Apart isn't so bad...October 2020

Conference Weekend
Top Left: Kent went elk hunting and was able to come back with this nice looking elk. Top Middle: Elder Gong in disguise. Top Right: Kent elk was tall. Bottom Left: Family Search sent me this thought to celebrate the women in my family tree.Bottom Left Middle: What a great reminder that I have been blessed by strong and wonderful women in my life! Bottom Right Middle: Marshal thought Kent needed a blanket and a stuffed animal for his nap. lol Bottom Right: What we learned from the prophets at conference.

Fall Leaves
We really enjoyed the beautiful leaves up Butterfield canyon!

“Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage
them to try again next year.” — Chad Sugg

New Truck
Top Left: The Blue Dodge had a misfiring cylinder (I think) so we (Kent lol) decided it was tie for a new truck. Top Right: We were sad to say good-bye to the old truck. Right Middle: I loved his sign "All I need is a smile!" Bottom Left: Kent and I started a new diet. The WiO diet. I also started a new job this month working for our neighbor Jason, owner of WiO Smart Foods. Bottom Left Middle: We saw one GIANT pumpkin on the freeway. Bottom Right Middle & Bottom Right: We also saw some jeeps at the dealership that I had to take photos of since Marshal is into jeeps right now. lol

Halloween Decor
We had fun decorating for Halloween this year! I might have to look into the same eyes that Bart Robbins had for our windows next year!

We created Billy and Martha Blaze and had a lot of fun with it!

We also had fun with our Facebook filters.

Crazy Corn Maze
We finally made it to the crazy corn maze. It was ok but not nearly as fun as I thought it would be. I did get a kick out of their signs though.

Halloween
Marshal decided to be Black Panther, Cort was a Werewolf, and Braxton was a Secret Sleuth (Spy Detective). Braxton enjoyed showing off Kent's plague mask.

Life in October
Top Left: I got ready to fill out my ballot for the election! Top Left Middle & Top Right: Marshal was very happy to have Brayden stop by to watch his soccer game. Top Right Middle: Beautiful fall leaves up Kanosh Canyon. Middle Right: Marshal enjoyed chasing the Turkey's up Kanosh Canyon. Bottom Left: Guess Marshal didn't want to join Kent and I in our diet. Bottom Left Middle & Bottom Right: Mariel came up with the cutest pictures of Florence for Halloween! Bottom Right Middle: Marshal did his hair spikey for crazy hair day.

Top & Bottom Left: Brindee and Bobbie got married and their friends had fun with the car decorating. Top Left Middle: There was a crazy fire on the mountain down near Provo. You could see the flames from the freeway. Top Right Middle: It was crazy to walk into Maceys and see their shelves blocking the way to the registers. They are working on a remodel and it is quite an experience shopping there right now. Top Right: Beautiful view of the moon at Brindee and Boddy's venue. Bottom Right Middle: More of the fire in Provo. Bottom Right: I wrote this on the wall for trax behind our house. The spirit kept telling me I needed to and I kept putting it off. I hope whoever needed it got the message!

Lots of things spoke to me this month. I'm thankful for the things that bring truth and peace to my mind!
