Riding into fall September 2019

Family Horse Riding
Cort wanted to go on a short horse ride with Kent so we decided to take the kids over to Randy's arena and let them ride.

We took lots of fun pictures...

...and even found some amazing landscape shots!

Crazy Storm
On Friday the 6th there was a crazy awesome storm. I couldn't help but photograph the clouds and try to catch some lightening. It was a lot of fun to photograph!

Date Hike
The next day after soccer Kent and I went up for a hike above Herriman. It was fun to spend some quiet time in nature with him and see some beautiful sights!

Scout Camp
Kent and Braxton had a great time on a camp out at the Staker's grandparents house in Mt. Pleasant. They enjoyed the following day playing in the water at Palisade Stake Park.

Family Night @ the Park
The kids asked if we could go to the park for family night. We ended up going to the park off of Mountain View Corridor and 6200 S. They had fun and Marshal got crazy on the concrete slide.

The School's Fall Festival
Cort's school decided to do a fall festival this year for their fundraiser.
I was not so sure about it since it had been a busy evening already.
We decided to go anyway and for almost an hour the kids had a blast.

Crazy Hail storm
Some days are crazy like this. At 10:44 am it was cloudy but still a nice sunny day. Almost an hour later the clouds were starting to get rather thick. A little over 2 hours later there was a good hail storm. Marshal said to me "Mom, I love these cute little baby snowballs!"

The Reptile Expo
We were finally able to go to the reptile expo for Cort and we had a good time learning about Alligators, snake, lizards and kookaburras. LOL

Dinner with Cousins

We needed to get out of the house on Sunday and so we decided to go visit "Uncle Cheryl" as Marshal affectionately called her. I came home to find that Aaron and Kylie had found my cell phone and took a "few" selfies for me.

Soccer

There is nothing better than watching my kids do what they enjoy and Marshal and Cort really do enjoy soccer!

Life in September
Top Left: Cort was able to go to the State Fair for a field trip. There were too many parent volunteers and so I decided not to go. I was very sad to miss out on being with him but thankfully Zander's mom send me this picture of Cort.
Top Middle and Top Right: One day it was off and on rain. I decided to run anyway and had a great run. Unfortunately I got caught in the rain, but I was really proud of myself for pushing through and finishing my run in the rain.
Bottom Left: I have enjoyed getting to know Ken Ivory so I was very sad when he stepped down from his position as state representative. I was grateful for the opportunity as a delegate to be able to vote while choosing a replacement.
Middle Left: It's hard to read so I'll repost it here. This is a funny texting conversation Kent and Braxton had. We had a good laugh about it.
Bottom Middle Right: Marshal says some pretty funny things so I am starting to take photos so I can remember what he says. After being escorted to his room by his brother Cort this little guy came waltzing down the stairs. I smiled when he stated in his sassy little voice, "I...am back in town!"
Bottom Right: Marshal was looking pretty cozy on his little scooter.

Top Left: Braxton was caught wearing a BYU shirt so we had to send Ashley and Ozzie the evidence. Top Middle: Me- "Don't you want to wear a jacket? You might get cold?"
Marshal- "No. If I get cold I'll just do my teeth up and down. And do like praying."
Top Right: Marshal was insistent that I take a picture of him with the pumpkins for sale at Smith's. lol
Bottom Left: It took me almost all day but it felt good to clean the entire fridge out!
Bottom Middle Left: "Look Mom. I'm a farmer!"
Bottom Middle Right: It's a little bit hard to see but this picture of the magnet that is used to hold the doors open at church became a topic of conversation after Eli Simonsen's baptism. I'm guessing Marshal and Gloria came up with the idea that these magnets are cameras and if you run in the halls at church they can see you. It made me laugh so I just ran with it! lol
Bottom Right: I took Dusty out on a run with me.
The poor little girl was struggling to keep up with me.

Top left: "Mom, my movies are GREAT!" Sunday's can be hard when your mom asks you to take a break from TV.
Top Middle: Marshal makes the best faces!
Top Right: We were over at Laura Garcia's house and Marshal was loving this rather large stuffed giraffe they had.
Bottom Left: Marshal was telling Kent he could torture him while he jumped on top of him.
Bottom Middle: I wish I could remember the funny thing Marshal said about his hands but even still it is a fun picture!
Bottom Right: We came home on night to the bearded dragons laying on top of each other. I thought it was funny so I snapped a picture.

Beautiful September
I feel so blessed to live in this beautiful world the Lord created for me!
"Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within. It is not what we see and that we touch or that which others do for us which makes us happy; It is that which we think and feel and do, first for the other fellow and then for ourselves" -Helen Keller

"Patience is a willingness, in a sense, to watch the unfolding purposes of God with a sense of wonder and awe-rather than pacing up and down within the cell of our circumstance." -Neal A. Maxwell

"Character is what you are when you are alone." -Olympic celebration announcement
