Finally "March"ing out Winter 2019

This has been a crazy March. We've had quite a bit of snow and cold. I am so glad to be headed into spring this year! We were able to enjoy some fun
Outings!
Someone finally suggested that we get a picture of our Utah gymnastics family. We love the Delaney's and the Holbrooks! The Lego is something I have no idea about, but I do know that I took it at my very first O.U.R. fundraiser event that Adrianne Jones invited me to. It was fun to spend time with her. Kent and I took the boys on Frontrunner for the first time since it was a free ride day. We went down to Provo and then came right back. Cort did it again! I was asked to take down all the snowmen pictures that the 2nd graders made and once again the picture that caught my eye was his creation. He has such a talent for artistic expression and this yeti insead of a snowman cracked me up! Cort also participated in his first Pinewood Derby. His car was the purple car and since I am the new Cub Master I made the green car to race the boys.

The Many Faces of Marshal
Marshal and the bearded dragons had me laughing. Marshal was pulling the headphones around with his new remote control truck. I was able to catch his pouty face. I found a good selfies he took. On the way home from Grandma's house he was tuckered out! Finally Marshal sure does enjoy his peanut butter more than any kid I know!

Beautiful World
I was really pleased with how these sunset pictures turned out! So beautiful!

I can't tell you how thrilled I was to finally get a good shot of the moon!

More beautiful wintery scenes as well as the fun rocks in the driveway and beautiful clouds!
This world certainly is beautiful!

Finding Beauty in February 2019

Broken Pipes Won't Break Me
It was a rough month last month and when Braxton was finding water on the floor of his bathroom February wasn't looking too encouraging either. Thankfully Kent was able to come home and fix the tiny pinhole in the pipe in the wall. The leak is stopped so now it's on to finishing & fixing his bathroom wall.

Wicked
I have wanted to see this musical and when I mentioned the idea on Facebook Syrina quickly acted. I didn't know how much I would need this outing when it was first planned, but I certainly did need it! I am so grateful we were able to go!

Snow Day
It's not often you get a snow day in Utah. We're pretty used to driving in snow so it rarely happens, but since we got about 22' (according to a news station) and the most snow in the valley was here in West Jordan we were lucky enough to get a snow day from the school district.

It was definitely a lot of snow!

Fiddler on the Roof
We were so proud of Braxton for all his hard work being in the play. These kids put on an excellent production. I was very proud of them!

Snow Caves
Sometimes when you are a mom your birthday weekend involves letting your son go camping in a snow cave. Kent did take me out shopping on Saturday, but then on Sunday we headed up the mountain to check out their campsite.

Marshal's Birthday Fun
We had a fun day blowing paint bubbles for Marshal's birthday. The kids had a blast! Taisley brought Marshal some gifts which included glowsticks which they told us they like to use in the bath. It was pretty cool to see his glowstick bath.

Birthday Gifts and Cake
Marshal loved his Paw Patrol gifts from his brothers and his monster truck from his dad and I. Kent made the wonderful suggestion that I use half the cake batter to make cupcakes and the other half to make a 9X9" cake for us. Brilliant!

Preschool Fun
We had fun playing with the letter in soapy water in the kitchen. They were so cute!

Paperwork Archives
Cort went through a bunch of papers and had some he wanted to remember, but didn't want to keep. I told him I'd be happy to photograph it and post it here. lol

Cub Scout Council Fire
And life in February
Cub scouts went to the fire station for their activity at the end of February. We had a family lesson on the beatitudes and made a list of what we learned we needed to do fro those scriptures. I found out that Marshal was using his barn to get what he wanted to get out of the closet in the bathroom. I found dinnerware the made me think of Cort. Marshal wrote his name all by himself and we spent a fun day at the park!

Beauty in February
It turns out that February is actually a very beautiful month! We spent a day at the park that provided some amazing clouds to photograph and there were many beautiful mornings and evenings as the sun was rising and setting. I even figured out how to get some good shots of the moon finally!
I hope you enjoy my showcase! :)
